Cost comparison

Weeks, months, five-figure budgets — or from €99 and ready in days?

That's how custom software used to work: wait long, pay a lot, stay dependent. Here you describe what your business needs — your own AI builds it, AintDumb reviews and hands it over. Months turn into days, five-to-six figures turn into one clear price per project per month. And in the end, it all belongs to you.

PathTypical costTime to a resultWhat you carry yourself
Senior developerapprox. €80–120k/yearweeks to monthsrecruiting, management, security, QA, downtime risk
Agency projectapprox. €20–80k / projectweeks to monthsscope management, maintenance, every change round extra, dependency
Your own dev teamsignificantly highermonths to ramp upsalaries, processes, security, tooling, management
AintDumb€99–5,999 / project / monthdays to a previewyour own AI account (e.g. Claude), your own hosting, final responsibility

Counted honestly: the market figures are typical ranges, not a guarantee. AintDumb is the economical starting point for most software ideas and internal systems — for very large, specialized projects a dev team may still make sense later. You simply take the reviewed code that's yours with you.

Pricing

Clear per-project pricing. Test first, pay later.

You pay monthly per project. Usage is counted in tool calls — every action your AI takes. A normal call counts as 1; compute-heavy steps count more (an AI review 65, a build 15). So you pay for real effort, not flat rates. Your budget is capped up front (prepaid cap): you’re never charged beyond what you booked — no bill shock.

Normal call = 1 AI review = 65 Auto-refine = 20 Build preview = 15 Publish = 5
7-day trial

€0 during the trial

Try it with a real project from your business. 300 tool calls — enough for about 3 plans to explore. If no usable preview comes out of it, you simply stop — no commitment.

A card is required to start; nothing is charged during the 7 days. Your chosen plan only begins afterwards.

One “plan” ≈ one full build run — implement a feature, have it reviewed and publish, around 100 tool calls. Normal calls are so cheap that in practice the AI reviews drive your quota. Every plan includes the full AI review, scanners & handover proof — they differ only in the monthly quota.

Need more? Top up in advance: €20 per additional 1,000 tool calls. You never slip into the red unintentionally — nothing keeps running without your say-so.

What you’ll pay — three cost blocks, honestly explained

So there’s no surprise on your statement: there are three separate cost blocks — your plan with us, your own AI account directly with the provider, and hosting for the finished live app.

1

AintDumb plan (table above)

From €99/project·month, prepaid and capped — nothing extra is ever charged without your action. For that: orchestration, hosted preview, AI review, handover proof & guided publishing. Paid to us.

2

Your AI account (Claude, optionally Codex)

The building AI runs on your own account. You pay that directly to the provider (Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for Codex) — usage-based and outside the AintDumb cap. Rough ballpark: up to about €400/month for Claude and Codex combined, depending on usage. We set it up with you, step by step.

3 · Your hosting for the live app

The preview runs on AintDumb. Live, your app runs on your own hosting: often free to start (e.g. Vercel or Netlify), or — if your data should stay in the EU — a small EU machine of your own, e.g. at Hetzner, from a few euros per month. Already have a server? Use it. We guide you through the setup.

Prices in euros, per project/month. Your AI account (Claude/Codex) and your hosting are paid separately — see the three cost blocks above.

Your own hosting — but not on your own

Your app runs on your side. We bring it live with you.

Your finished live app needs your own hosting account or a server. We deliberately don't run the live app long-term — but we set up the go-live with you, as far as we can: connect the provider, set the access keys, prepare the deploy automation, walk you through the first launch. You keep control and ownership, without getting stuck on the tech.

You stay in control

The preview runs with us — the finished live app runs on your own hosting. So it is truly yours, with no dependency on us.

Start fast or stay in the EU — your choice

The easiest path is Vercel: create an account, connect GitHub, publish automatically. If your data should stay in the EU, we set up a small EU machine of your own instead — e.g. at Hetzner (Germany) from a few euros per month. Netlify, Cloudflare, Render, Railway or your own server (via SSH) work too. Note: “data in the EU” always covers processing and preview at AintDumb; where your finished live app runs is your choice via the hosting you pick.

We can take on more

Want to do less yourself? On the guided service path we carry out the setup for you as far as possible — and only need you where your account or approval is required.

Honestly: in our pilot program we offer a guided service path — we clarify scope and effort upfront in a first call instead of promising something blanket. Start with guidance →

You describe what you need — your own AI builds it, AintDumb sets the reviewed step sequence and several independent AIs review every version, and you see a real preview early on. Without the long project months of the classic route — in the end you hold a finished app with automatic checks that's yours. It runs live on your own hosting.
